Morah Etchells has been working to expand the shop to include an additional range of hand-made woollen goods, using Ouessant fleece and has commissioned her local Men’s Shed workshop to produce the pictured Ouessant measuring stick
The apparatus can be dismantled and then stored on a shelf, the measure is metal and will withstand storage in a shed for example. The Men’s Shed can make these for £20 which covers materials only yet supports the ladies and men utilising the project.
And we will be also showcasing a wide range of clothes and other items hand crafted from hand spun Ouessant wool and other fine fleeces – a selection is shown at the foot of this page. These will be available – or will be made to order – in return for a donation to the Society.
Full details will be posted on the website, once we have confirmed that deliveries can be met in the light on current coronavirus restrictions. If you’d like more information, or to pre-order a measure or a woollen item, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call Morah on 07535 285066.
STOP PRESS: Morah also has some felting packs available and suggests that crafting could help people at this troubling time. If you would like a pack sent to you, with the materials and advice to help keep you sane whilst in isolation, please contact Morah on the email or telephone number above.
