News From The Regions

I am delighted to say that the society now has 11 regional representatives covering 13 regional areas across the UK and two international regions. Regional reps are there to help members and should be the first point of contact should advice be needed. Contact details for representatives can be found at:

As spring is now rapidly approaching, the society are already receiving enquiries from members looking for stock, as a society we have three places in which we can direct those both looking to purchase and sell stock.

Firstly the society marketplace, which can be found on the society website. Members are able to place an advert for registered stock for sale or wanted and for registered ram for hire, adverts can be placed by visiting the member’s hub section. Once placed, adverts are visible to all visitors to the website so this is a great way to get your stock noticed.

Secondly we have the network of regional reps. Reps are normally one of the first people new members will be in contact with, therefore are likely to be the first to be asked where to source stock or suitable ram. So please do make use of your regional reps and keep in contact with them regarding any stock for sale, wanted or for hire.

Lastly we have the flockbook – members can list stock as available for sale or hire which in turn will be visible to other members. Members have control over what level of personal details are visible within Grassroots so if you are happy for other members to contact you please do update your details as required.

Support reps

As mentioned in the previous newsletter, we still have a number of voluntary support rep positions available. These being craft rep, wool rep, show rep and online rep. These are a great way for members to get involved and help out. If you would be interested in taking on one of these roles then please do drop me an email:
