What do you do if you have a sheep shed, and the sheep drag out all the bedding with their legs, for about metres all around the entrance? It does make a mess.
Simple answer. Screw a board right across the entrance about 15 cm high, they love jumping over it and it keeps the bedding where is should be.
Don’t forget if you have a ram, make sure he can get his head (along with his horns) in the feed or water bucket, troughs are a better bet.
If you are putting your water in a bucket, make sure when you return, that there is no poo or pee in it. Then no one wants to drink it.
Provide shade for the animals in hot weather.
Make sure that the sheep don’t get anything poisonous if they put their heads through your stock fence.
Tie spare hurdles up to a fence, so they don’t fall over on the sheep.
